First off, this keyboard is a pain in the neck to type, the keys are sticking really bad, but hey Come what may, and love it!
So first off, Viviana and Adriano were confirmed in Sacrament meeting!! Adriano is one of the Sister’s investigators that I taught and he asked me to baptize him, but it counted for the Sisters. I successfully marked another one of the Sisters investigators for this Saturday too!!! Her name is Carina, and she asked me to baptize her . . . I am going to try and get a member to baptize her, but we will see. I am not allowed to interview any one of those people because I taught them more than 2 of the 4 missionary lessons.
Vivianas parents marked themselves for this weekend, but we are just waiting on the marriage. They were legally married in the Gypsie culture, but not by Portugal, so it is sort of hard to explain, but they are going to go the city building today or tomorrow to try and sign the papers.
The only day on my mission in which none of the appointments fell through we had a member that walked around with us for some time, so we got 4 member present that day!!!! It was Friday.
We had 2 people come to church that we didn’t know, so that will be fun, friends of members!!!
We contacted a lady named Vanessa that said she would call us (generally those people don’t) but she did and so we went and met with her. She read the first pamphlet and said that she wanted the book of mormon to read and the restoration film. We gave them to her (it was a 5 minute lesson), and 2 days later, she came by (for 5 more minutes) and she had read to 2 Nephi 2!!! The only problem is that she doesn’t have any time for us at all.
Elder McLean and I did a division so I could do an interview for Elder McLean, but the interview went too long and Elder Packard and elder fry left to an appointment, and Elder McLean and I went to my area to eat. We went to café of a part member family that promised us a meal, and they gave us a francesinha. Well, I finished mine, but Elder McLean was having problems finishing his, so he asked me if I would take some of his food. I told him I would I he would call Elder Packard (his comp) and tell him he is a quitter, well, since we are so prideful, he couldn’t do that so he kept eating, and right before he just had enough I told our part member family the deal (they didn’t eat with us, we just ate at our own table, because they had to run the café) So we got all the people in the Café during a soccer game, which is a big deal, to crowd around elder McLean and start chanting "Acaba, Acaba, ..." Which basically means finish it, finish it Right after that we went to our gypsie family's place that offered to give us each 2 sandwiches. You should have seen Elder McLean's face, it was super fun. I am known as a missionary that seems to go and get fed. I mark dinners with people, tell them we will bring the Juice, and they agree. Most missionaries here get fed 1 or 2 meals a week by members, I seem to come and raise that number to 2 or 3 a week with members, and then another 2 or 3 a week with an investigator. I have no problem inviting investigators to eat dinner with us, and then when they ask where, I tell them that we can cook something in the chapel, and we can eat there, they don’t like that Idea because they don’t want to be in the chapel longer than they have to, so they invite us over to their house . . . It works!!!
